A first for a data center After-treatment solutions provider, Safety Power earns California Air Resource Board (CARB)Level 3 Plus, Mark 5 ‘Verified’ emission control system designed for standby emergency diesel generators.
Safety Power is proud to share the newest accolade for the ecoCUBE® family of emission control solutions. After undergoing a rigorous testing regime specified by the California Air Resource Board (CARB), Safety Power can now offer the first Level 3 Plus, Mark 5 ‘Verified’ emission control system designed for standby emergency diesel generators for data centers. This allows Safety Power to marry diesel particulate filters (DPF – particulate matter control) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR – NOx control), and precious metal-based oxidation catalyst for reductions of carbon monoxide (CO) & non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHC), all into a CARB verified design.
Safety Power has been supplying a similar level of emission control in its proven all-in-one EPA Tier 4F ‘equivalent’ ecoCUBE® systems for over a decade. CARB’s validation program provides an alternate pathway previously unavailable to the data center space and offers the added benefit of the emission control system being completely generator agnostic, vastly expanding its versatility.
